She’s graduating. He made sure it was unforgettable.
Let’s just get this out of the way first.
At some point during this session, while walking through the grounds of Chickamauga Battlefield, your photographer stepped directly into a hole in the ground.
Not gracefully. Not quietly. Just fully, completely, into a hole.
Megali and Marco thought this was hilarious. And honestly? They were right. We laughed, we kept going, and what followed was one of the most beautiful sessions we have had the privilege of photographing. So if anything, that hole was good luck.
A Gift That Says Everything
Marco arranged this session as a gift for Megali, and we want to take a moment to acknowledge that, because it is one of the most thoughtful things a person can do for someone they love. Not flowers that fade or something that gets put in a drawer. A celebration. Photographs that will exist forever of one of the most significant milestones of her life.
That kind of love shows up in a person’s eyes. And it showed up in every single frame.
Megali, You Are Radiant
Megali is graduating from Dalton State, and we want the internet to know that she is absolutely glowing with it. There is something extraordinary about photographing someone who is standing at the edge of a chapter they worked incredibly hard for. That pride, that quiet confidence, that sense of I did this, it radiates. It is impossible to hide and impossible to fake, and Megali wore it beautifully from the first frame to the last.
Chickamauga Battlefield is a place with weight and history and wide open spaces that hold light in the most remarkable way, and it wrapped itself around her perfectly.
And Then There Was Marco
Here is what we know after spending time with these two: the love between Megali and Marco is not the kind you have to look hard for. It is right there, in every glance, every touch, every quiet moment between them that they don’t even realize is happening. We were watching, though. We are always watching.
The couples portraits we came away with are the kind that remind us exactly why we do this work. Two people who are genuinely, deeply, completely in love, standing together in a beautiful place, not performing anything, just being. That is the whole job. And when a couple makes it that easy, the images speak for themselves.
Megali, congratulations on your degree. You have worked for this, and you deserve every bit of the celebration that comes with it. Marco, you did good.
We are so glad we were there, holes in the ground and all.
