Some people are just made for golden hour.
There are sessions where everything clicks. The light cooperates. The couple is at ease. The location does exactly what you hoped it would. And then there are sessions like Lexie and Zach’s, where all of those things happen at once, and you find yourself driving home afterward thinking those might be some of the most beautiful images we’ve ever made.
Berry College in Rome, Georgia is one of those places that feels almost otherworldly when the sun starts to fall. The light comes in soft and golden and unhurried, and it has a way of wrapping itself around people who are in love in a way that makes everything feel a little like a dream. Lexie and Zach stepped into that light and honestly, we just tried to keep up.
The Secret Nobody Tells You About Beautiful Photos
Here’s something we’ve learned after years of photographing couples: the most stunning images almost never come from standing perfectly still and looking into the camera. They come from the moments just after someone cracks a joke. From the laughter that sneaks up on you. From being a little silly and forgetting, just for a second, that there are cameras pointed at you at all.
Lexie and Zach gave us that in full.
We were silly together. We laughed. We moved. And in between all of it, the golden hour light caught them in these quiet, breathtaking moments that stopped us both in our tracks. That’s the magic that happens when a couple is genuinely, comfortably, joyfully themselves in front of the camera, and these two are exactly that.
The images we came away with are some of the most gorgeous we’ve taken to date. We mean that with everything in us.
We Are Counting Down the Days
On June 7th, Lexie and Zach are getting married at Howe Farms The Woodlands, and we are so ready. After spending an evening with them at Berry College, we already know exactly who they are together, the warmth, the laughter, the way they look at each other when they think nobody is paying attention. We have been paying attention.
Howe Farms is going to be the most perfect backdrop for the next chapter of their story, and we could not be more honored to be the ones behind the cameras when it unfolds.
