There’s something incredibly meaningful about a season of transition, especially when it’s rooted in love, purpose, and the people who matter most. Jen and Chris’ engagement session at Coolidge Park in downtown Chattanooga felt exactly like that: joyful, intentional, and deeply connected.

As the sun settled over the Tennessee River, these two walked hand in hand through one of their favorite places together, soaking in the city that has been part of their story before beginning a brand new chapter in Denver. With their move approaching quickly, they knew one thing for certain, before heading west, they wanted to exchange vows surrounded by the friends and family who have loved and supported them throughout their journey. We are so looking forward to capturing their vow exchange on June 12th.

What makes Jen and Chris so special is the way they care for the people around them. Both have dedicated their lives to the healing of others, pouring compassion and kindness into the work they do every single day. You can feel that gentleness in the way they speak to one another, the way they laugh together, and the quiet comfort they bring into every space they enter. They are truly the kind of couple that makes you feel at ease immediately.

Their session felt effortless from beginning to end. Between the soft evening light, the peaceful riverfront views, and the energy of downtown Chattanooga surrounding us, every moment reflected who they are together, calm, joyful, and completely present with one another. Whether they were wrapped up in laughter beneath the trees at Coolidge Park or simply holding each other close along the waterfront, their love carried such warmth and sincerity.

Photographing seasons like this is always an honor. Not just because of the beautiful images created, but because of the meaning behind them. Jen and Chris are stepping into an exciting new adventure together, but they’re doing it while holding tightly to the people and memories that shaped them first. Their wedding day will undoubtedly be filled with so much love, and I already know Denver is gaining two incredibly special people.
